Teams embark on a journey of reflection and understanding as they explore and appreciate their own and each other's diverse range of work styles in a 60-90 minute lunch and learn workshop. This engaging activity helps participants understand and value different working styles within a team, fostering a more collaborative and cohesive work environment.
Participants are initially grouped at tables where they consider their own working styles, preferences, and traits on various subjects tailored to the theme and objective of the workshop. As the activity gains momentum, participants write their preferences on the game cards provided.
Next, participants are invited to engage in room-wide networking activities. The goal is to find matches among peers, forming groups with similar working styles. Defining characteristics emerge as individuals with similar styles form groups and assign fun names to represent their preferred work style. These groups are then presented with a series of challenges that allow them to showcase their preferred work style to the entire team.
By exploring each other's work styles, preferences, and traits, we acknowledge everyone has a unique style, appreciate each other's strengths and weaknesses, and embrace the power of diversity. This leads to more effective teamwork and better outcomes.
