Teams are provided with the basic ingredients and tools needed to decorate a pre-cooked cake. Teams employ all aspects of cake decorating cutting, stacking, layering and shaping their cake into their own custom design which is in-line with the pre-defined theme for the activity.
During the event a series of auctions can be held where a variety of bonus items and penalties are up for grabs! The bonus items can be used to enhance a teams own design, and the penalties are aimed at other teams to slow them down or otherwise derail the progress of their cake creations.
Once teams have completed their master pieces they take it in turns to present their cake creations to the rest of the group; highlighting the key features of their design, the inspiration behind them and how they tie into the overall theme of the activity. The participants then judge each other on their creations and presentation to choose the winning teams!
