Whisky Masters

In this 60 minute session we will test your ability to tell your malts from your bourbons, while teaching you about four different whiskies from around the world. Don’t know your whiskies? No problem! This educational class will help you get started in this wonderful world, where a whisky community awaits you!

The kit you’ve received (or will soon receive) includes most of what you will need to take part in this session. Please also refer to the other items required, listed on the right of this page.

Pre-event steps:

Step #1:  Have your kit opened and ready with equipment listed to the right on hand.

Step #2:  Ensure that your technology works and everything is plugged in or charged.

Step #3:  Ensure you have video and chat enabled.

What you need:

Set up your equipment in your area. You will also need the following items or something similar to hand at your workspace.

    • Access to running water
    • 4 x Small rocks style glasses
    • Access to some ice

Meet your Sommelier

Michael Dorbyk is a dedicated hospitality veteran with over 20 years experience. As co-owner of the legendary Monarch Tavern he curated a collection of the finest rare Bourbon available in Ontario and oversaw a deliciously accessible bar program for thirsty Torontonians.  Michael‘s love of the arts led to his opening of Bracebridge Hall, a gallery bar and live music venue located in the heart of Muskoka.  His cocktail creation "The Bridge" was published in Corby Spirit new book titled “A Toast From Coast To Coast”. Michael is likely drinking a Manhattan at this very moment
