Gin Masterclass

In one hour, we will teach you to create two perfect drinks. In your Masterclass, we will highlight how to create a chamomile infused South Side, a tall refreshing cocktail.  The second drink is a Rosemary Gin Sour, an eventology original. Floral, smooth and served up with a creamy mouth feel.

Both guaranteed to make you look like a pro-mixologist for your next cocktail party.

Pre-event steps:

Step #1:  Have your Cocktail kit opened and ready with equipment listed to the right on hand.

Step #2:  Ensure that your technology works and everything is plugged in or charged.

Step #3:  Ensure you have video and chat enabled.

Step #4:  Get dressed to impress and ready to drink Gin!

What you need:

Set up your equipment in your kitchen. Preferably near a burner or stove top. You will also need the following items or something similar to hand at your workspace.

  • Access to running water
  • 1 x Cutting board
  • 1 x Paring knife or similar
  • 1 x Peeler (good to have but not essential)
  • 1 x Small pot
  • 1 x Strainer
  • 1 x Small bowl filled with ice
  • 1 x Tall Collins glass or similar
  • 2 x Martini glass or wine glass or champagne flute
  • 1 x Cups of white sugar
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 x Small side plates
  • Measuring cups
  • 1 x Teaspoon
  • 1 x Wooden spoon
  • 1 x Cocktail Shaker or Mason Jar

Meet your Mixologist

Wendy McGuinness is an award-winning mixologist, who has competed and represented companies such as Grey Goose, Jameson, Beefeater and Hennessy.  For the past 12 years, Wendy has been working in the Vancouver restaurant scene and has helped develop multiple cocktail programs for some of the country’s top restaurants, including Chambar, Bao Bei and Kissa Tanto.
