In this 60-90 minute lunch and learn session, participants engage in a dynamic and highly immersive game designed to enhance negotiation and trading skills.
Each team starts with a set of pirate inspired resources to trade, and their goal is to build relationships with other teams while using their negotiation skills to gather vital market information. Teams engage in a series of trading and deal-making activities, relying on effective negotiation, creative thinking, and strategic planning to accumulate the most resources. This activity is easy to understand but a real challenge to play, making it an ideal platform for developing and practicing negotiation skills in a dynamic and enjoyable context.
After completing the activity, participants engage in a facilitated discussion and debrief session. This allows them to reflect on their negotiation strategies, share insights, and discuss how to apply these skills in their daily work environment. The debrief helps reinforce key lessons learned and encourages continued exploration of effective negotiation practices.
