Communicate BRAVELY

The Gold Standard for Courageous, Connected Conversations

Have you ever sat in a meeting where everyone agreed on the surface, but you could feel the unspoken 'no' vibrating in the room?

Strong communication requires more than speaking clearly; it demands courage, presence, and emotional awareness. This segment introduces the BRAVELY framework, empowering individuals to engage in honest, empathetic, and effective dialogue, even in high-stakes or emotionally charged situations.

We move beyond the theoretical to get participants on their feet, practicing these skills in real-time. This isn’t about memorizing scripts; it’s about developing the 'conversational fitness' required to handle the unexpected. By the end of the session, the BRAVELY framework will be a lived experience, rather than just a set of notes.

Communicate BRAVELY is a framework developed by Jason Maraschiello, distilled from decades of experience in counselling, leadership development, and cross-cultural learning; BRAVELY is an acronym which stands for:

  • Be Present;
  • Respectful Honesty;
  • Assumption Awareness;
  • Validate;
  • Empathize;
  • Listen for Shifts;
  • Yes, and...

Participants will leave feeling empowered to:

  • Stay grounded and present during difficult conversations.
  • Express truth with clarity and respect.
  • Recognize and challenge hidden assumptions which derail conversations.
  • Build trust and connection through validation, empathy, and effective listening.
  • Navigate tension and resistance using collaborative language techniques.

This workshop is for leaders and teams who are:

  • Want to be listened to, understood and respected.
  • Looking to move past conflict and create space for productivity.
  • Motivated to understand how to stay grounded and respond better under pressure.
  • Ready to elevate their communication skills and transform how they show-up; at work, at home and in the world.
